• Rash used a little know fact to draft his story idea – a North Carolina internment camp for Germans and a German ship that was docked in NYC
• I guess I can say that I am a fan of southern gothic stories – though once again I do not think this story is as “gothic” as Serena but still very good
• Very good sense of place – felt like I was there in The Cove – just enough info about the land, and the animal life to understand the environment but did not overwhelm.
