I enjoyed the first few discs, but felt bored by the fourth (of nine). Rather than lots if short stories and "slices of life" vacation stories of the guests that came to the hotel, I would have rather had a nice long one about Chicky. Hard to finish this one. If I were a long time Maeve Binchy fan, it would be easier to hang in there until the end perhaps.

Reading a Maeve Binchy book is like visiting a good friend. I loved Tara Road, Copper Beech, Circle of friends and Evening Class. This was the last book she wrote before she died and it was just a good simple story. The setting is a new Inn opening on the wild Western Coast of Ireland and tells the story of the group of guests in the first week of business. She must really know the area because the descriptions of the water, coastline, birds, walks and pubs were so interesting and detailed. I ha
