This short book was fantastic! I was so inspired! This tells the story from two perspectives. One is the husband of a woman who decided the two of them should serve the homeless at a Christian mission. The other is a man who had been homeless and in and out of jail for years. The wife and service bring them together and they both feel the love of God as they get powerful insights from their untraditional friendship. Great quick read, 5 stars!
If I could give 6 stars I would. This book was powerful, moving, sad and poignant. A non-pushy, non-proselytizing mandate to truly love our neighbour as ourself or do unto others as you would have done unto you. All the more powerful for being a true story.

What a great book about faith, friendship and love. This story was told by two people in their own voices, and it worked well. Imagine, a wealthy texan finds true friendship with a homeless man.
I loved this book and highly reccommend it. It had a good message and is a true story.
A little too religious for my tastes.
