Laura (booksnob)
Lakota woman is an excellent memoir about Mary Crow Dog and her experience growing up Native in South Dakota. She was the only woman to give birth during the occupation of Wounded Knee in 1973 and she married Leonard Crow Dog who is a medicine man. There is much to learn and contemplate and compare to the autonomous zone of George Floyd Square. This is a powerful woman.
