What Members Thought
So I adore Inspector Gamache but this book was not one of my favorites in the series. This will be my 11th book and I have only the last 2 in the series to finish. But they really should be read in order. Maybe one of the problems I had was that I have already read 7,8,9,and 10. There are three pretty separate story lines going on in this book. Four plus stars, the best of the series so far. Complex and heartbreaking on so many levels.
Audiobook. Another stunner. How do these keep adding layers and reflecting on the past while opening to the future and creating new spaces for known characters?? They’re getting better, and I’m so glad I found them!
I hope I get to Quebec City soon, a city where this book takes place.
The best one yet! Love this series.
