Awww, I don't know. I really wanted to like this book much much more (it's Grisham's, for Pete's sake). But this book lacks of a "hero" that I could cheer and root for. I wanted to like Max/Mal, especially because he's the main narrator of this book (although Grisham switched to third point of view several times), but he's just unreliable. I loved this book, absolutely loved it. I needed something like this to race time ahead for a few days, and it did the trick perfectly. The ending though....was a bit far fetched, in my opinion. Otherwise, I'd have given it a five. I love John Grisham! I'd forgotten just how much.
