One page in and I was reminded of why I love this series (and I'm wondering why I ever set it down): "I felt my temper rising, the result of too much travel and too much time spent in proximity to my family." Julia is so cranky and full of herself, just like me!! :-)

This is a lovely new addition to the Lady Julia Grey series. I really like how the author adjusted the tension between Julia and Brisbane now that they are married. If you like Tasha Alexander's Lady Emily series, you will really like this series too.

The 4th in the Lady Julia Grey series, this book takes Lady Julia and her new husband Nicholas to India to help out her sister's friend. The plot is interesting, because no one except Julia and Nicholas are really sure there was a murder, although more people tend to believe that as time goes on. There are lots of interesting things in this book: a man, or rather, woman-eating tiger, a hermit living in an abandoned monastery, a pregnant widow, a free-thinking artist, a dying cousin, an alcoholic ...more
