This book was not what I expected...I had imagined a pill-filled gabfest among three best friends, but this was much darker. It reminded me of Mad Men characters if Mad Men had been written from Megan's perspective. The treatment of the women was a horrendous combination of the era and the entertainment/advertising industries. At times treacle, but I'm glad to have finally read this iconic 60s kitsch. ...more
