Recycled Kill a Mockingbird.
I genuinely enjoyed this. It's a long, languid character study in a slow Southern town. There's some plot but it all feels by the by. It was just too long. I skipped from page 400 to 500 and don't feel like I lost anything significant. The writing is excellent and the allusions are clever. But it was too much of a good thing.

My least favorite of all Tartt's books. I learned way too much about not so friendly families living in the southern US.
