What a story!

Mary Call is thrust into the position of provider for the three siblings after her father sickens and dies. I have been looking for this story for years. Something about the mountains and the characters stuck out in my mind from when my elementary school librarian read this to us, but I couldn't remember the title. I remembered "lilies" but nothing more. But the imagery and characters were just as sharp this reading. ...more
