Stephanie Plum is recruited by her parents neighbor to find her missing granddaughter Evelyn and Evelyn’s seven year old daughter Annie. Stephanie runs afoul of Eddie Abruzzi, who owns Evelyn's ex-husbands bar, who begins a war campaign against her. There’s the usual bungled fugitive apprehensions and car explosions.
