England Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts.

Kate and Cecelia are cousins living in London in the 1800's in a time when magic exists. Kate has been taken to London for her debut while Cecelia stays behind. The book is a series of letters between the two. I foudn it very interesting that the book started as a game between the two authors and these are letters they wrote to each other in character. It does hold together quite well as a story and i found the book to be quite fun. ...more

Oh! This was so delightful! I don't usually like "correspondence" novels, but it works. The authors really did write this primarily through letters, which makes it even more delightful!

It's sort of a Georgette Heyer meets Harry Potter mash-up and I adored it. A light-hearted, delightful read! Appropriate for youth and such a lot of fun!

This could have used more magic - but I liked it enough to put the next one on hold at the library. The audiobook is being released in January and I have had these on my list for quite some time. I was wary of the letter format, but it worked out okay. Things did get a bit confusing with the parallel characters in each place.
