I have been meaning to read this book for a while, because it has been sitting on my shelf. I am tackling the series now, that all the books are out. I heard a few not so stellar reviews, but I was actually quite pleased. It is not a great book, but better than I expected. The most annoying thing about this book was the romance between Nora and Patch. I mean, come on, Nora, what in the word drew you to Patch? It is not at all believable! I really like it! :) I think it has potential to be even better but I enjoyed it.

I read this in one day and thought it was an enjoyable and inoffensive little YA PNR novel. Much better than a lot of the more popular series out there! The main character is a little too dumb to live and the meet-cute (i.e. mysterious lab partner) was the same as Twilight, and I figured out almost immediately who the "bad guys" were, but it was an interesting and different concept and not as sexist as a lot of the more popular series.

This was a great book. First half of the book was a slow build up. The second half was better, more action. I loved the ending.
