I really enjoyed this book. It tells the story of a Cherokee woman who marries a white man in Appalachia in the early 1900s. My favorite part of the book wasn't so much the characters or the plot, but rather the setting. The author does a wonderful job creating a sense of place and I really felt like I was there in the hollows of Redbud Camp and God's Creek with all the characters. Or maybe I just wanted to be there.
