Great book, long paragraphs, not VERY readable like popular nonfiction, but not too academic, either. No footnotes. Page 224 begins to draw more direct links between ancient Babylon (by this time Assyrian) Empire and early proto-monotheism, including treatment of women. Would be great to have more diverse views & perspectives instead of only the author's - maybe a feminist viewpoint when discussing what is and is not feminism? - but a good resource.
