I enjoyed these short stories even though the central theme in all of them is the last years before death and how various people are getting through them.
The only downside of these collection was that sometimes the author appears as a character or it is present in the story by directly using first person voice. I always enjoyed short stories or novels that the author is an impersonal and not present in the story.
