I agree with Holli, had this book been written from Martha Carrier's perspective, I hopefully would have enjoyed it more.
Coming from the mind of a young girl, there were many things that were left unanswered, things that drug on, and things that had really no relevance. It took too long before the witch trials were even mentioned in the book, then what was mentioned were almost boring.

It's hard to imagine living in the days of Salem Witch Trial. And Kathleen Kent could describe it so vividly, maybe because the story affected her personally. The beginning of the book was quite slow, but it's full of emotional baggage. I was wondering if Kent could write the similar strong book like this one without any personal history involved.
