I didn't find it funny. It mostly had jokes based on stereotypes. The voice actor was excellent but the adorability of the centenarian didn't last.

This prose and speed of the story kept me on the edge of my chair.
Loved how the author combined various parts of history with fiction and weaved it all beautifully into the story.
Absolutely loved the 100 year-old-man character, his intelligence, sincerity, honest, loyal and straight-forward lucky, pure zest for life, or the lackthereof.
Would totally want to read this again for the funny book it is.

It took me a while to get into this, but it was rather funny and reminded me of a Swedish Forrest Gump kind of story.

Absurd, hilarious book about the adventures of 100 year old man, Allan Karlsson. While having adventures in his old days, Allan also reminisced his extraordinary life since he was a young boy. Meeting famous people, influencing big political decisions, even getting involved in some big wars without he even realized it. The unique thing is Indonesia becomes one of the settings of Allan's adventure, and even though I don't really agree with the political views of Jonas Jonasson along this book, it
