What Members Thought
This is "spot on" in capturing people and moods. From the reviews at Amazon I expected to throw this back. We all know J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) can tell a great story, but the average for this one was only 3 stars. I think that's an injustice!! Once again, though, it maybe a case of the book being better on audio. I was aware that this was a book written for an adult audience and so was not expecting the magic and sparkle of Harry Potter. The tone was much heavier but certainly realistic. Just as in the Potter novels, the character development and setting was excellent. An enjoyable read even if it was quite a bombardment of my emotions. Looking forward to more 'adult' novels.
