Gwen Cooper adopts Homer, a three week old blind cat, after her vet calls desperate to find him a home. Gwen already has two cats and is reluctant to adopt a third but Homer's spirit captivates her. Gwen tells how Homer adopts to life and doesn't let anything get him down. I am a total animal lover so this book was perfect for me. I really enjoyed this book. There were certainly moments when I thought to myself, "Ok - you love your cats a little too much" but I suspect a lot of us would do the same kind of crazy. Her description of 9/11 is particularly poignant and reminded me of just why that day changed all of us. OR should have. If you don't like cats then I'm not sure what to tell you about this book. It might change your mind, it might confirm your previously held beliefs...
