I really did love this book. It definitely exceeded all my expectations, which were high to begin with. The book tells the story of John & Jenny Grogan who decide to get a dog (Marley) in order to somewhat prepare themselves for parenthood. Marley is very misbehaved and destructive, but is also extremely loyal and loving. This book was very funny at times, but also had some very sad moments. Be prepared to cry - especially towards the end. The book is also very well written, and easy to follow.
