Excellent historical fiction set in Spain in the turbulent years of the Inquisition, when Spain was trying to expel all of the Jews. The story is about a young Catholic girl who is sent to work as a maid in a house of Conversos, now Catholic people whose families converted from Judaism to Catholicism. She doesn't know who to trust, who to rely on, or who to betray.
