I started this series with my firstborn 5 years ago. Now, in anticipation of the release of the final book in the trilogy in a couple of weeks, I'm reading it again with my second child. My original review still holds true. My kids and I love this story set during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and told through the experiences of 11-year-old Franny Chapman, and we think other younger readers will too. Three thumbs up!
