I thought it'd be quaint. I mean, after all, the cover is so adorable and bright. Oooh, and an international best seller? I haven't read anything "international" in a while... *yoink* That ridiculous mistake, judging the book by its cover. 20 pages in, I was wrapped in a heavy blanket of cliche and misogyny. Soooo trashy. It read like a clunky, badly translated soap opera. But like a train wreck, I couldn't look away. I kept hoping it'd get better. It didn't. The plot wasn't even really complete

Certains disaient que ce livre avait l'air d'un . Pour moi ce n'etait pas le cas. Il a gagne mon interet tout de suite, et n'a pas lache jusqu'a la fin. Pas mal.

No spoilers but one minor character's story line was really dumb. The rest was fun--chick lit to be sure, but hey! chick lit in and around Paris? Why not! Lots to love here if you don't think too hard. I enjoyed every minute of it!
