To Destroy You Is No Loss is the tragic and captivating experience of a Cambodian family during the Khmer Rouge takeover. I liked the way there was some historical explanation to go along with the individual stories. It is so sad that all of the talent and education was destroyed and wasted. I don’t want to give spoilers, but even when they finally escaped, they had setbacks. It’s too bad that this part of world history isn’t as well-known as it deserves. This is a great read 5/5!
