I am very conflicted about this book. The language and the writing was very good. The descriptions are just so vivid, I felt like I was a part of the story. But the story itself, and in particular, the main character, Jessie, I just do not get. Her actions seem so completely random. She goes, sees a monk, and then 2 seconds later, she is cheating on her husband with him. What??? I felt like that part of the story was not at all realistic. Also, I just could not relate to her.
