Astrid Lim
This is a weird experience. I haven't read any Angela Carter's book before, but her writing captured my heart immediately. The story itself is so absurd, with lot of symbolism, gothic atmosphere and some difficult topics like incest and poverty and domestic violence. So please don't expect a nice fantasy story set in a magical toyshop! This is far from that :D

Anyway I enjoyed this book and it's good to have something different once in a while and find a new author who could give you a nice surpr
