Somewhere between 3.5-3.8. I've been to/toured Fallingwaters, Taleisin, and Taleisin West; yet, I knew nothing of Frank Lloyd's life! The book was revealing and as soon as I finished it, I had to google FLW to see how much of the book is true - almost all of it, btw. (view spoiler)

I actually didn't love this book, but I couldn't put it down. I didn't relate to the characters decisions, but they were very well drawn. I guess what I'm saying is that it was a fantastic book, a well told story, but I'm disappointed to learn how self-centered FLW was. But the truth, as they say, is stranger than fiction. I loved this book. Well done historical fiction. I learned so much about Frank Lloyd Wright, his person and architecture. The Wisconsin bits happened less than 100 miles from where I grew up and she really depicted the local people there in Spring Green so well. And Mamie...what a spirit struggling with her role as a woman in that time...
