This one was recently shortlisted for an Ellis prize, and it's definitely more than the airport-read cover would initially suggest. While I did have some issues with a key clue to the plot being rather implausibly overlooked, the tension between Cynthia and Terry is sharply realized and lends valuable emotional depth to the story.

A great idea with a great intro that totally and completely lost steam halfway through and became a confused mass of non-believeable gunk.
