What Members Thought

Given the praise surrounding this collection, I was mildly disappointed. For one thing, it's really short. About 50 pages, with lots of white space and prose mixed in. It's basically a plumped up chapbook. Kaminsky has a very delicate and often beautiful touch, with suffering, joy, and memory being the subjects of just about every poem. I can't rate this higher because I don't really understand it and I didn't love it immediately. Poetry can be like that in the beginning, so I may revisit it.
