I was surprised by this book. I thought I was bringing something light to read on vacation which it was until the end. I did not really enjoy the author's writing style- it often made me feel like I was reading a book written for seventh grade English class. Some of the characters were a little stereotypical and the author was sure to cover every type of person out there. I've been on the generous side by rating this book 3 but as I did cry at one stage I thought it should get a 3 even thought the best I can say about this was "It was ok". Nice idea, great artwork on the cover but for me this book never really takes off. And it's awfully predictable as to who the characters were and what their individual story would end up going. The part in Scotland was particularly tedious. Having said that it wasn't a hard read but I can't say that I would read any more of her
