I have never read Jodi Picoult, and was never interested, until I stumbled upon this book, which was included in a lot of 20 other used books I bought from an estate sale.
The premise of the story was interesting; a genetically hand picked baby who was conceived to save her sibling, who, at the age of thirteen, sued her parents for the right for her own body. It was interesting enough that I read it in single sitting staying up until 3 am.

I avoided reading this book for quite a while because it was just TOO popular. It seemed like everyone was reading it. Eventually, I broke down and bought a copy - and I couldn't put it down! I loved the way Picoult explored the family dynamics in this story. There were some unexpected turns, and the ending surprised me.

If you haven't read this book - you should. If you have - I'll bet that you're still talking about it. I don't quite understand how Jodi Picoult always manage to catch her readers off guard - but she does ... every time.

Very sad. I do remember there was a part in the end that I thought didn't make sense, or quite fit what the author was saying happened. I'll have to go back and check it out.

I will not read this person's books because of how they treated someone for not wanting to suggest Sarah Dessen's books to a college reading group.
