I read this book for book club. It was emotionally draining to read, but the moral issues presented make for great group discussions. I thought I'd let my teen daughter also read this book for her Catholic Morality course, but there are too many "adult situations" for a 14-15 year old.

Picoult as always does a great job of creating characters you root for even as they mess up, but the ending of this one isn't as strong as her other work. I can't help but feel like it dodged some of the book's major themes for the sake of emotional effect.
