The story of Sidda Walker and her mother Vivi along with Vivi's three friend which make up the Ya-Ya's. Sidda isn't sure if she wants to get married because her fiance will one day die so she goes moping off to a cabin in Washington where her mother sends her a scrapbook about the Ya-Yas.
The book is really disjointed until the last third of it when the story of the Ya-Yas forms a more coherent whole. One of my main problems with the book was Sidda. She's whiny. Have you ever wanted to go into

It was an easy read. Not overly boring, but not captivating either. I liked it because I like the movie. The book gave more insight to the movie (as it should have).
