This book was ok. Wasn't really impressed with it too much. Leaves the reader hanging at the end. It does make the reader wonder if they were in that sort of siutation, would they stay or go?

A bit overwrought it must be said, but free.

The premise of this book was original...completely different from most of the YA books on the shelves today.
It starts with a snow day...a family trip....then things change drastically. I won't recap the story, because by the first chapter you know what has happened and why the book has its title.

So the little brother isn't very realistically portrayed, and the life of the girl in the coma is a little too perfect, but what I really like about this young adult novel is its unabashed celebration of life and happiness.

Somewhere between three and four stars. I liked this smart-alecky Mia. And the idea behind the decision, if we get to make that decision, tore me up. It's not a "literary masterpiece" as so many people are beating it up. But, it is a quick, sweet, heart-tugging read.
