Rather than finding Morrison's style of writing musical, I found it wordy and rambling. Just not my favorite book.

QUICK THOUGHTS: Challenging in form and content as it seeks to tell a story of love and revenge in jazz form, this story never quite cohered for me. It’s not my favorite Morrison novel (Beloved, Song of Solomon and Sula would be better places to start), but it’s also not my least favorite Morrison.
