The worst of the Twilight series. It starts off saccharine sweet, then becomes progressively more and more unbelievable - the final fourth of the book has become a long hard slog to get through. It's not the vampires and werewolves and associated nonsense that I have issue with - clearly, it's a prerequisite to suspend one's disbelief on that in order to enjoy this type of book, and I'm happy to do that. Oh my! This book was next to awful. Other than the fact that it was completely unnecessary in the series (it could have ended with the last book), it was too long and too badly written. It is very very addictive which is why it got these 2 stars. Jacob's perspective was kind of interesting, but that was about the only redeeming quality.

This book was awesome. It is my favorite of the series. The only thing I am disappointed with is the fact that Stephenie didn't do the story in Edward's perspective. Other than that, great story, great ending.
