What Members Thought

This was my least favorite of the Gabriel Allon series. It just never seemed to get off the ground. The same formula was evident, with the same characters, the usual art interest along with terrorism. But all the characters were flat and uninteresting. Still I am now caught up with the 13 book series and of course I will read the new one.

While the climactic scenes are certainly exciting, Silva doesn't achieve much in the way of plot-thread integration here, which hurts the overall work. The final few chapters feel like a tack-on that exist solely to remind the reader of just how little was done with the instigating events of the story.
