This review is about the whole "Twilight" series, as the books weren't interesting enough to separate.
I read the Twilight series over one weekend out of sheer curiosity. A lot of my "Harry Potter" friends were talking about it and my 13 year old cousin was raving about it. I find the series mildly entertaining, but that's all. Not great writing. My biggest problem with these books are the fact that the two main characters, Bella and Edward, are so annoying. The story of Bella, a teenager who moves in with her father in Forks Washington and falls in love with a mysterious boy at school. Is this great literature, no. Is this highly addictive fluff, YES. The book sucked me in and now I have to read the rest of the series to find out what happens to Bella next.

This book is very popular with teenaged girls. I read it to see if I could recommend it to my daughter. I did, and we both got hooked on the series. (Don't tell her I skipped some of the tedious parts where the plot took forever to move forward.)
