I almost decided I didn't want to finish it. I agreed to be part of a bookray for this book. I was a fourth of the way into the story and I wasn't interested at all. I didn't care about the characters, I realized; I'll just close the book and send the book on to the next reader.

This book was just ok for me. It's about a man dealing with the sudden death of his wife, and the aftermath.

A sweet story about letting go while learning to listen while you have the chance. Aaron Woolcott is such an unlikely hero, but with the deft writing of Anne Tyler even the most prosaic life becomes extraordinary.

Other than the main protagonist being a bit annoying and self centered, this is an interesting look at how people deal with death

Audio book for the commute this week. So far, so good, but then I'm very partial to Anne Tyler--she was the reason I enjoyed having to go to Baltimore on business a lot years ago. (Well, that and crab cakes on the Inner Harbor!)
