Truth and Beauty was full of conflicting thoughts for me. This book was beautiful, but sad. I couldn't put it down, but didn't want to finish. I first loved Lucy, and then was angry at her. A nonfiction from one of my favorite novelists. One of Ann Patchett's best.

Hard to know what to think. The article is mean but comes from true grief as much as from effrontery. Do we have the right to claim back our family posthumously from the grip of friends who knew them better? Is blood really thicker than water?
