Some good insights, but her smug attitude was wearing.
This was like having a friend tell you about her recent vacation - but much more detailed as all the various trips through "Laura World" lasted more than a year. It was fun to imagine the characters she met along the way and you can't help but believe her own husband is a perfect match for her. An enjoyable and fast read.

Fun, but still kind of slow moving. I'm trying to finish the last few chapters. It limped to the end.
So far, fun. Love that her family, like mine, skipped the sappy tv Little House on the Prairie for WKRP in Cincy!

Lovely! Interesting, touching, charming. I too loved the Little House books and read them over and over as a kid. McClure didn’t shy away from of the problematic aspects of the series, addressing them thoughtfully and head on and encouraging reflection. If you enjoyed these books, pick this one up!
