What Members Thought

I liked the book through the first two-thirds. It is a love story with scenes from different stages in their relationship. Time travel is a fascinating topic to imagine. The story line explores the different kinds of love through different times of our lives. But towards the last third of the book, the author brings in some far-fetched details and the characters you have grown to like make stupid decisions and become very weak in character/morality.

I don't usually like time travel or fantasy , but this book appealed to me. It was difficult to keep up with Henry's age as he passes from one period to another. There were some issues that came up in the lives of the characters as Henry traveled from one era to another which gave pause for thought. Even if it meant I could retain youthful vigor, I don't think, I'd opt for time travel.

A very popular novel and deservedly so - Niffenegger understands her craft very well. Also worth noting is the excellent (and accurate) local color - it's always pleasing to see places you're familiar with in a novel.
