I really enjoyed this book! The ending was a bit pat for me, but overall a heartwarming, funny book about some pretty serious stuff. Takes place mostly in Savannah Georgia. I can vouch for the audio performance too.

There are some fun characters and stories. Others say it's too sweet...almost. I think that the main character comes off more as a pre-teen or teenager in the beginning of this book. She is witty and has a more sarcastic edge as she deals with her mothers illness. When she goes to live with her aunt in Savannah she becomes more childlike. This makes sense because she was finally able to be a kid. However, when the character goes from taking care of herself to being cared for she looses a quality ...more
