Totally boring, robotic narrative told in the voice of a girl who has been resuscitated after a serious car accident with no memory of her identity or who her family members are. The premise sounds interesting, doesn't it? The questions the book raises about bioethics are also relevant. However, there is just something too heavy-handed about its delivery and in the end, I don't really find myself caring what happened/happens to Jenna Fox and her love interest. ...more

teen angst identity crisis in the guise of a bio-medical ethics debate set in a dystopian future unfolding through flashbacks and post-coma vignettes. i wanted to love it more, but then i might have had i read it when i was in junior high.
