Interesting that my ebook version copyright said 1985. It was first published in 1967, so maybe this was a 2nd edition.
Anyway, I am really glad I had to read this for a challenge, because I really liked it. The Pine Barrens is something that we drive through on the way to the Jersey Shore, and I have always wanted to know more. McPhee definitely made the Pine Barrens interesting and I want to know more.
