This novel is halfway between a proper historical novel and a historical ROMANCE novel. The events become more improbable as the novel progresses. The Pros: nice descriptions of the various 15th century Italian cities our protagonists go through; the dialog between the protagonists; the painting Primavera by Botticelli. I also enjoyed the twist on the conventional romance novel: the female is the experienced, worldly one, while the male is the virginal, conventional one. The Cons: the growing im ...more
