I have an electronic shelf on this site titled "thrilling/mystery", and whilst this may be a "whodunnit" story, there was a complete lack of anything thrilling or mysterious about this work and thus I have only shelved this book on the "fiction" shelf. Perhaps I have watched too many true crime stories, but the real killer was much too obvious. The setting and characters weren't bad...I'm just glad I borrowed this book from the library. A good beginning to the series, this book has charm and character and a good cozy mystery.
This is the first in the series set in a small town in Maine. Liss is a great character coming back to her hometown after a min unexpected end to her career. The book centers around her Scottish heritage and her Aunt’s Emporium. The story has many likeable and unlikeable characters. The mystery unravels and an unexpected suspect is revealed.
