What Members Thought
What a disappointment. I have found that many of the winners of the Man Booker prize have been thought provoking and enjoyable up to this selection. Granted, I have not read every prize winner but this was worse than Vernon God Little and that is really dropping down the meter. I don't even know how to convey my disappointment in so many aspects of this book.

This is a difficult one to review. For most of the book I could barely contain my desire to scream at Julian, tell him to get a life, and stop being so introspective. But the last 1/4 of the book brings it all together, and I can finally see why this book has been given the accolades it's received. All the same, it probably helps if you are Jewish.
