The is a quaint story of life in times gone by. A young woman living with her father falls in love with someone the father doesn't like. The father uses his wealth to try to tear the young couple apart. All this takes place in their home next to Washington Square in New York City. The young woman is so naive and reserved she doesn't know how to handle the situation.
